A
really
useful Powerpoint presentation showing you why your business really does need a computerized networked faxing
solution such as NetCFax |
NetCFax
Pro (which the new single user SOHO system is based on)
is the middle level member of our
NetCFax networked fax system,
and is targeted at those people who have what may be best termed average
faxing needs. NetCFax Pro SOHO does
of course not provide all of the features and functionality that the
full NetCFax Pro 3.16 system provides, as
many of those features simply would not be necessary for a SOHO system.
The SOHO version uses the standard Pro fax clients, not a special one,
so if you are able to connect to a full NetCFax
server, or choose to upgrade later, it is still just fine and does not
require changing.
NetCFax
Pro SOHO is ideal for a great many
home or small sized business networks who do of course need fax sending and/or receiving
capability, but perhaps do not need or want the powerful handling
features provided by the full NetCFax Pro, but still
want and need a computerized fax system at a reasonable cost.
The NetCFax
Pro SOHO server, and the NetCFax
clients can be installed on any of Windows 98, Windows ME,
Windows 2000 (Pro & Server), Windows 2003 Servers, Windows XP
with or without SP1 or SP2, and even the Microsoft Small
Business Servers, and finally on Windows Vista. Windows
Servers may be domain controllers or not.
The NetCFax
Pro SOHO entry level system provides a great solution for your faxing needs, as
it not only provides a fax server, but also the
freely distributable fax client. The fax client can either be
installed on the same machine as the fax server, or even on several
different machines if you have a small network. We do not limit
the number of fax clients that may be installed, but please note that if
you register the SOHO system, only one fax client will be able to
connect to the fax server at any one time.
NetCFax
Pro SOHO fax clients communicate directly with the fax
server
using direct TCP and UDP connections across any network, including
across the Internet if required. All you need to do is to run the
fax client, connect and login to any available NetCFax
server, and you can then check for faxes received or create
and send faxes out. You can even connect from a hotel room using a
dial-in Internet access if you need to do so.
The
FULL NetCFax Pro
server can even
automatically create PDF copies of all the faxes that are
received, and it can create PDF copies of sent
faxes as well. This is not available in the SOHO version
Naturally, NetCFax
Pro SOHO can forward copies of all received faxes by email to a single or even
multiple email addresses, allowing you to have received faxes delivered
directly to your email system or hand held email device, or even
both. If you have the full NetCFax Pro and have the PDF option enabled, you can even choose to
have the PDF copy emailed to instead of the original fax (TIF) file if
you prefer.
It can even forward all
received faxes on to another fax # if required, and this is controlled
by the fax senders CSID, so faxes from different senders can be
forwarded to different external fax recipients.
Whatever your faxing needs may be, we believe that you will discover
that NetCFax Pro
SOHO can certainly
provide the faxing solution your Home or SOHO business needs.
You can install and use
the NetCFax Pro
clients on every
machine on your network if you wish, irrespective of the NetCFax license
count you may have, as the NetCFax Server
handles all control over which clients may connect to it at any
point in time. This includes having a single fax client
installation on an XP Pro used by multiple Windows logins on that machine
by taking advantage of it's "Fast Task Switching" feature,
multiple instances of the fax client running on a single (standard) PC,
and of course, a single installed Fax Client on a Domain Server can be accessed and used by multiple Remote Desktop Sessions.
NetCFax
Pro
clients can be installed and run just fine in a Terminal Services
environment on Windows Server 2000/2003, and also under different
Windows Login Accounts when used under "Fast Task Switching"
on XP Pro systems.
With this release the single installed
NetCFax client on any XP Pro system can be started and run independently
from each other, under any/every available Windows login account
(using a different NetCFax login account of course) and each fax client
can be used normally in each one even though the fax client is still
running on the same machine under other Windows logins at the
time. This applies to XP users using "Administrator",
"Limited" or "Power User" Windows login accounts as
well.
The same applies to a fax
client installed on a Windows 2000/2003 Server, as it allows multiple
Remote Desktop Sessions to use the same fax client installation, but
with individualized configurations for each NetCFax login account.
All changes made to a
client's configuration while logged in are of course only saved for that
specific NetCFax login account, and do not effect other NetCFax login
accounts at all.
