Windows Vista...
NetCFax PRO+ has been released as an enhanced version of
the current Pro v3, and this is now available in addition to the
existing v2.7 and Pro v3.1 releases. NetCFax PRO+ is
not intended to replace either of the existing versions, but
rather to provide a version designed specifically for
those who have a need for the best possible handling of received
faxes and creating large and complex outgoing faxes.
NetCFax Pro continues
to be the mainstream release for those who want to handle both
sending and receiving of faxes, whereas NetCFax PRO+ offers
additional and powerful functionality in both of these areas.
NetCFax 2.7
is the system for those who are more interested in sending faxes
than in handling received faxes.

- REAL TIME automatic updates of all client fax cabinet drawers
This system has been especially designed to provide a real
time update of the contents of the fax clients cabinet drawers for all
logged in fax
clients and also the fax server's cabinet if open.
This means that all changes that occur to the list of
faxes is automatically reflected in the relevant drawer of
all other clients that have that drawer open in their fax client
systems. If other clients do not have that drawer open at
the time, their cabinet will automatically refresh it when it is
next opened.
All changes are updated in all
cabinets in real time, including new faxes being received, faxes
being deleted, comments being added, removed or changed, and in
addition, received faxes can now be flagged as Seen or Unseen
quickly and easily.
This new system allows true
multi user co-operation so that all fax clients have the ability
to handle any fax in a real time environment.

groups on the fax server or by another fax client.
This system has been added to provide a real
time update of the contents of the received faxes drawer for all
logged in fax
clients and also the fax server's cabinet if open whenever the
server or a fax client makes changes to the received faxes
assignments (routing) .
This means that if currently open, the received faxes drawer of all
fax client cabinet drawers will be refreshed automatically to
reflect the changes made to assignments
This new system further
enhances the true
multi user co-operation so that all fax clients have the ability
to handle any received fax in a real time environment.

- and later - Introduction of the "Immediate" faxing
list
This fax client (only) feature offers a very quick and easy
way to create complex faxes from many different sources, and is
designed to assist those who want or need to create multiple
faxable documents by printing them from various applications to
the NetCFax printer, and then want to create and send a fax that
contains all (or possibly only some) of those files.
In essence, the immediate faxes list is maintained pretty well
automatically by the fax client, with these files being added to
your list each time you print anything to the NetCFax printer,
and of course each login account has their own personal
immediate list, which is stored on the client machine they are
using.
Whenever you print a document to the NetCFax printer, that
faxable file is added to your own personal immediate list.
Once you click the "Create a fax" button, and then
select a fax type that needs additional files, the new "Use
Immediate list" button becomes enabled, and this will
display a window listing all of the files currently in your
immediate list. You can select one, several or indeed all
of these and add them to the list of files in a single and
simple operation. You can also view any of these files,
and delete any entries in your immediate list if you wish to do
so.
Naturally you can access and
edit this list at any time you wish from the option provided on
the View menu.

- and later - Support for the Transym OCR system (TOCR)
The fax server now provides built in and automated OCR
scanning of all received faxes using the TOCR v1.4 system available
from Transym - http://www.transym.com/downloadv14.html
This system is very well
regarded and widely used around the world, and creates editable
text files from the contents of any fax. NetCFax PRO+ can
even process these text files looking for specified matches, and
assign received faxes to login accounts or even NetCFax groups
totally automatically based on the OCR text file results.
The TOCR system needs to be
downloaded from Transym and installed independently of NetCFax.
We do NOT provide this as a part of the NetCFax PRO+ installation, and have no commercial agreement with
Transym. Registration of TOCR for a single instance system
is only $40.
VERY
IMPORTANT - Transym have now released v2.0 of TOCR ,
but NetCFax only supports TOCR v1.4 at this
time.

- and later - Wildcard matching for received faxes on CSID
The received faxes configuration system on the fax server
now provides the option on the "email based on CSID"
tab to enter a string of 6 asterisks as shown below:-

This entry will force a match
to any CSID at all, and will force the server to send an email
(with fax or PDF attached if configured to do so) to the email
address specified. Because this filter should always be
the last entry in the list (logical really?), you can now also
promote and demote all of the entries in this list.

- and later - Multi processor control
Both the Fax server and the fax client can now configure the
processors (or processor cores) they should use if the machines
they are running on have more than a single processor or core.
This feature allows administrators to maximize the use of the
resources available on any machine running NetCFax.

- and later - Now has a new "View"
menu on the Fax client's cabinet that lets you select which fax viewer you prefer to use by
default. You can select the standard viewer, or the Thumbs
viewer that was previously only available in the Received faxes
drawer.
Once you set the default viewer, this will be used to view any
fax data file in any of the drawers of the cabinet whether you
click the "View fax" button, or double click in the
list or use the context menu option. The first page of the
Create Fax wizard's "View Document" button also uses
the viewer selected.

- and later - The Cover page
content templates system has also been improved for PRO+. There are now
options to save any locally available cover template to the fax
server, either to be accessed by only your login account alone
(Personal) or, if the server has the option enabled, to save it
to the servers shared templates, thereby making it available to
all of the fax clients.
This again improves the flexibility of the NetCFax Client to be
used seamlessly from any PC on your network, while still
providing you with all of your own personal configuration,
address books and now cover page content templates.

- and later - The Cover page
content templates system been improved still further for PRO+.
In addition to being able to add shared templates to those
available from the fax server, you can now also delete any of the servers shared templates,
providing you are logged in with NetCFax administrator rights,
and that you can also provide the fax server's security
password.
This again improves the flexibility of the NetCFax Client to be
used to control and configure many aspects of the fax server
remotely.
