NetCFax does of course provide a
normal fax viewer program, but in NetCFax Pro 3.xx only there is
also what we have called a "Thumbs" viewer that can be
opened by clicking the Thumbs button on the Received faxes drawer
of the faxes cabinet.
This is a very useful viewer if
you need to check/read several received faxes, perhaps to route
them or to add comments to them, without having to close the
normal viewer and open it again for the next fax.
By clicking the Thumbs button,
the viewer will open and display the currently selected received
fax. By default this viewer is configured to automatically
"link" to the received faxes list, so that when you
select another received fax in the list, it is automatically
loaded into the thumbs viewer for you without the need to close
the viewer down and reload it again. The Options menu on the
viewer itself lets you change this behavior if you want to do so.
If the fax is a multi page fax ,
the viewer has next previous buttons to let you view all of the
pages, and you can print directly either the current page or the
entire fax directly from the viewer if required.
If you resize this window, the
fax page is always changed to fit into the window to make it as
easy as possible to view, and this is a gray scale image which is
quite often easier to read.

The horizontal and vertical blue
arrows buttons and the rotate button shown on the window above also let you invert faxes
both vertically and horizontally so you can quickly view or print
faxes that were sent upside down correctly. If you have
NetCFax Pro or PRO+ you can even save the changes made back to the
fax server so that everyone else sees the corrected image.
In the new Pro and PRO+ release
shipped in January 2007, we have added both a "Deskew"
option to "straighten" faxes that are not aligned
correctly, and a negate function to let you switch between
B/W and W/B which can be useful with some faxes that contain
difficult to read information.
