Read all about how to set up departments in NetCFax

The departments system in NetCFax Pro provides controlled access to received faxes for groups of people, rather than just for individuals.

Most larger organizations are broken down into departments and most also have more than a single incoming phone line/#, especially if each physical department has their own fax machine.

Because NetCFax lets you use more than one or two modems, you can therefore (logically) assign each modem/phone line used by NetCFax to a different "department" to emulate this scenario identically.

Each NetCFax login account can, if so desired, be assigned to any department you may have created.  If so, then even if their personal login account access rights are the default "Individual", which do NOT allow them to view received faxes, any/all members that are assigned as members of one of the departments configured in NetCFax will still be able to view all received faxes that were received on the COM port/phone line that is assigned to that department.

THEY WILL NOT be able to view any faxes that were received on any other modem.

The second nice feature supported by departments is that they each department can be configured so that all faxes are automatically printed on a specified printer if that option is set.  This allows each department to select one of the printers that is (physically) in their own office.

The Department printer settings override any other printer configuration options, and if required, a department can specify NO PRINTING, which overrides the generic auto printing system for faxes received on that phone line/modem.
