THE
CURRENT RELEASES OF NETCFAX ARE 2.75 (August 6, 2007)
and NetCFax Pro v3.16 (August 6, 2007)
and now NetCFax PRO+ v3.60 (August 6, 2007)
You may not be aware,
but the NetCFax networked fax system is
undergoing a constant and very rapid development cycle.
The reason for this is very simple.
We have received such an enormous amount of interest in this
product and we are listening carefully to the suggestions and comments of all of our new
and existing customers,
identifying features that we may (somehow) have missed out on, but
features that we are
being told are wanted by a
substantial number of the ever increasing NetCFax user base.

The next
major release after NetCFax 2.7 and NetCFax Pro 3.1
will probably be version 4.00
and this is likely to be shipped at
the end of
2007. However, we may include some of these features
in any significant interim releases we make before then.

PDF SUPPORT
- The Fax
cabinet in both the server and the fax clients will have a
separate PDF files tab that will provide easy access to
all of the received faxes that have been auto converted by
NetCFax to the familiar PDF format. (and possibly other
PDF's as well)

PURGING - The
fax
purging system is to be improved, with more control being
provided over which faxes you want to have purged
automatically.
|
|
Support for
merging letterheads to faxable data
LETTERHEADS - We have now been asked several
times how you can add your corporate letterhead and
footers to data you want to fax that has been generated by
Excel or a database system or other application. The
next major release will include with the fax clients
(only) a special utility that will let you merge any
specified letterhead file to one or more or all pages of
any faxable data you have available.

CALLING
CARDS - Support will
be provided for the use of Phone Calling cards on a phone
line by line basis when sending faxes.
|
|
|
VIEWING
FAXES - An all new viewer is being developed that will
let you view/preview all of the pages in a fax in a
horizontally scrollable list. This will also provide
a single page viewer linked directly to the list for rapid
viewing of any individual page.
You will also be able to print individual pages, save them
as TIF or PDF files and the viewer will also allow you to
reposition any of the the pages in a multiple page fax
before they are sent.
This viewer will be accessible from all of the fax cabinet
drawers.

SCANNING
DATA IN TO FAX - The fax client will provide built in
support for TWAIN scanners. This means that any fax
client that has a scanner accessible to them can scan data
directly into NetCFax and send it out as a fax, or of
course, store it until they are ready to send it with
NetCFax.
