- BusinessMail
is a
very powerful mail server system, developed in 32 bit
"C" and it has been specifically designed to
take advantage of the Microsoft Window's multi threaded
technology.
- Although its
functionality is based on it's well proven predecessor
SmartServer, BusinessMail has a great many additions in
functionality and large increases in both processing speed and
overall capability.
BusinessMail
is a very powerful and yet easy to
configure and understand Email server system that has been
carefully designed and developed by NetCPlus over several years.
It contains virtually all of the features and functionality that
feedback from our ever growing, and satisfied, customer base has
told us they want from a professional level mail server for the
new millennium that will match and grow with their businesses
and the growth of the use of email in business communications.
- BusinessMail
provides multiple highly configurable anti spam systems to
combat the modern and totally unwanted scourge of JUNK mail.
- BusinessMail
multi threading
allows the mail server to perform the majority of tasks it needs
to do simultaneously, reducing machine overhead and allowing for
much shorter on-line connection times where relevant. All
of these "threaded" operations are fully configurable
by the system
administrator.
- BusinessMail
also
has WebMail - a fully functional web based mail server
system that allows your mailbox users to connect to BusinessMail
and check, reply to and compose messages across the internal
network or even across the Internet using a web browser
alone. Attachments can be saved out of messages, and
copies of new messages and replies sent via WebMail can be saved
in their own BusinessMail mailboxes. WebMail is a small
additional cost add-in to BusinessMail that can be licensed at
any time after original registration if required.
- BusinessMail
now
provides the pre-release of our full function web based mail
server access system (RACS) that allows you to control and
configure the server from anywhere using a web browser.
- BusinessMail
can be installed and
run on a PC running W95/98/ME/2000/NT4/XP (Servers
or Workstations). For smaller networks (up to 25 users or
so) the mail server can be installed on any available networked
PC, which can still be used for other tasks such as word
processing, overcoming the need for a special
"server" PC to be dedicated to BusinessMail.
- BusinessMail
supports all of the
industry standard protocols for mail handling such as TCP/IP,
POP3, SMTP, MIME and others which means that:
- BusinessMail
can handle email
from virtually any email client package. These include Microsoft
Outlook (& Outlook Express), PocoMail, Eudora, Pegasus,
Netscape Mail, MS Exchange client, and a host of other equally
excellent but lesser known email products. It can even
provide those same powerful mail server services to Unix or
Apple Mac clients on your network providing that they also use a
TCP/IP based email
client.
- BusinessMail
can provide complete
private or public mail server services for networks of any size
from 2 or 3 PC's right up to 999 PC's.
- BusinessMail
can
be used with both dial-up connections and permanent external
server connections (ADSL, Roadrunner and other cable modems,
WAN, routers etc), or as a simple and totally internal LAN mail
server with no external connectivity if required. When combined
with a proxy or NAT server it can easily access
the Internet from anywhere on your network whilst still
providing full mail server services for your entire network.
BusinessMail
- Major
Features
-
Fully
multi threaded, thread safe design to provide maximum performance
in all supported Window's environments.
-
Support
for both single and multiple mail domain
environments.
-
Can be
installed and run as a true Windows Service, and yet can be run as
a standard desktop application if and when required.
-
The
ability to act as a mail server connected permanently to the
Internet. BusinessMail
can collect mail from POP3
mailboxes and receive it directly via SMTP, and can even send mail
directly to the end recipients via MX records without the need for
an SMTP relay server to be available.
-
The BusinessMail
SMTP server fully supports SMTP authentication (AUTH LOGIN and
AUTH PLAIN) from most email clients, including Outlook and Outlook
Express.
-
All
on-line activity and offline activity can be performed
asynchronously, allowing the mail to be sent and collected at one
and the same time while mail is being processed internally by the
server.
-
A fast
and powerful anti-spam system provides any server
administrator to control and block these unwanted "spam"
email messages. There is even an automatic anti-spam list
addition feature available in the mail administration
window. Wildcards can be used in your anti-spam lists to
provide you with the maximum flexibility to monitor and control
this ever growing menace. You can even have the BusinessMail
mail server archive messages hit by the spam systems so you can
validate your anti-spam entries quickly and easily.
-
BusinessMail
can be used to protect your network from virused attachments. It
can be configured to automatically copy and/or remove any
combination of selected attachment types, user defined types, or
all attachments from mail received from external sources.
-
Whether
or not you have a 24/7 connection, the BusinessMail
mail server
provides powerful and flexible scheduling of
external connections to both send and collect mail. Either
periodic (every xx minutes) between certain specified hours, or at
any of up to 12 different times each day are provided, with the
ability to select or limit collection periods on a day by day or
even to only allow it to function on certain days of the week.
-
Automated
collection of mail from multiple POP3
mailboxes/accounts can be performed during a single dial-up
connection, potentially cutting your communications costs
dramatically. POP3 mail can be collected in addition to
having automatic mail collection via SMTP if required.
-
Powerful
and highly configurable filtering/routing of both
internal and external mail to let you control who gets what mail.
-
Email
Domain aliasing to
let those networks that need to support multiple ISP accounts handle
these easily and efficiently. Address aliasing so
you can have more email addresses than you really have such as
sales@domain , info@domain etc
-
Full address/mailing
list support to let you circulate mail
internally/externally quickly and efficiently, no matter where it
is received from. This even allows you to run your own "listserver"
system if you wish using the automated "Subscribe" and
"Unsubscribe" functionality built in to the BusinessMail
filtering system.
-
Mail
back which
is similar to "Fax Back" only it uses email. Your
customers could request price lists or specifications and have the
server handle it all.
-
Configurable mail
archiving option that lets you keep copies of all
incoming /outgoing emails that are handled by your
BusinessMail
installation.
- A unique MailScan
feature that lets you monitor all mail that passes through the
mail server for specified words or phrases. When a match is
found, the system administrator can be notified, and a copy of
the message concerned can even be attached to this
notification. Great for ensuring your staff don't misuse
your email system..... Just tell them it's there....!!
- BusinessMail
also offers highly
configurable and powerful remote administration
via the use of simple email messages sent to the mail server.
(These messages can be created using any email client that
creates standard ASCII mail messages such as MS Mail, MS
Outlook, Exchange Client, Pegasus, Eudora and most others)
- BusinessMail
does not require any
special hardware platform or additional software apart from a
network connection to the other networked PC's and a modem or
ISDN connection if dialup connection to the Internet is
required. You do not even require any additional NT4 user
licenses if you are installing on that platform.
-
BusinessMail
is
typically fully installed and capable of running your mail
server system in less than a day according to our ever growing
and satisfied customer base.
-
BusinessMail
will run on most
versions of Windows. The recommended minimum
specifications are a P400 or similar with at least 128MB of RAM
and a hard disk capable of holding all messages, archive files
etc..
-
BusinessMail
really
is the one stop mail server solution to network email.
